The planning core runs on the device: parks, wildlife, seasons, and ready-made routes are bundled in, so it keeps working deep in a reserve with no signal. The optional AI Scout features photo identification and a ranger chat use a connection when you choose to run them. What you can do: Build a smart itinerary: choose a park, a travel month, a length, and your target species, and Kopjex places dawn, afternoon, night, walking, and sundowner drives so your priorities line up with peak-activity windows. Follow an active trip: a countdown to departure, a preparation percentage, and day cards you tick off as each drive is done. Start from a ready-made route: hand-built itineraries for the Great Migration, a Big Five run, a predator-focused trip, and a first-timer classic. Explore the parks: seasons, signature wildlife, and the key regions of every reserve — reachable from any species — then set one as your next destination. Raise a companion: adopt a wild orphan or a camp friend in the Sanctuary and feed it vivid, fresh fruit to help it grow, with a gentle reminder when it gets hungry. Study the wildlife guide: best time of day, best months, habitat, and field notes for each species, plus a personal target list that pre-fills the planner. Identify a sighting: photograph an animal or a track and Scout reads the most likely species and how to recognize it, then saves it to your field journal. Ask a ranger: a built-in AI assistant answers questions about parks, seasons, species, timing, and packing. Pack with confidence: safari-specific checklists by category, with a readiness meter that raises your trip's prep score. Set optional reminders: a departure countdown and pre-dawn alerts before early drives. Earn it in the field: guide ranks, a streak, trophies, and a log of every completed safari. Kopjex asks for no account and no personal details, uses no analytics, and stores everything privately on your device. The AI Scout features send only what you submit to OpenAI to generate a result, and only after you agree on a consent screen; everything else stays offline. Delete the app and it is all gone.
